(Samovodska Charshia)   "The Hikers Hostel is located in the old town of Veliko Turnovo. We thought the atmosphere of staying in a neighborhood was great. The children play in the narrow cobblestone streets and the local residents recognize you after you've passed the streets a couple of times.

After arriving (hot and tired) at the Veliko Turnovo train station and navigating the large hill up to the center of town, there was no better sight than the friendly face of the hostel’s owner, Gray (or Graham, if you will) coming to pick us up from the tourist... Their motto is "Come as a Guest, Leave as a Friend" and we really feel like that is how it happened for us. The atmosphere is homey and very welcoming. "kirsten and alexi (owners) are super friendly people, they both speak english and bulgarian. they showed me the town and took me to a few cool bars, showed the light show on the castle, as well as introducing me to the local raki! the hostel is a great location, beautiful view, clean and comfortable, also a very good price! i really cant say enough good things about it. great for anybody who...The Guesthouse is just a stone’s throw away from the Tsarevets castle, very close to the House of the First National Assembly where the Bulgarian independence was proclaimed.
