"i stayed at the menin gate hostel for the full month of september with a whole group of people with whom i was on a course with. it was a lovely place and i enjoyed my stay immensely. i would go back 2moro! the rooms were clean and tidy and the people very friendly. we all had great time and made some great friends." … "… after World War I in 1927. "The people were very friendly but the beds were not very comfy. I think that the floor by the bed at the back in room 3 could have been a bit cleaner and that they could have supplied duvets instead of blankets. All in all I enjoyed my trip as we were right in the centre of Ypres and it was just a 5 minute walk to the menin gate memorial and about half an hours drive to the cemeterys." … G.
