Lakes Entrance Hostels

Lakes Entrance is a quiet, seaside town on the southern coast of Victoria. It is home to the entrance of the Gippsland Great Lakes system from the ocean and has some beautiful beaches and river inlets around the area. You can relax and enjoy a picnic or take a stroll around. Ninety Mile Beach is where you can enjoy some of the water-based activities, such as surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. They also have paddleboats for hire and other boat tours along the rivers for you to enjoy. You can also choose to do the walk from the beach to the lakes and they have a well set out hiking trail that you can take that have some great views of the lakes. The Nyerimilang Heritage Park also has some great views as it is set up on a cliff amongst the gardens, so this is also a great place fore a picnic.

The main street is lined with shops through which you can wander; amongst them, you will find some of the best fish and chips and ice cream that the area has to offer. Given the large number of fishing trawlers in the area and as it is home to one of the many commercial fishing ports, you will find the fresh seafood here world class. Any amenities that you may need during your stay you will find within the downtown area. Hostels in Lakes Entrance are within walking distance from the town.
