Noosa Heads Hostels

Noosa Heads is a gorgeous, beachside town located on the Sunshine Coast in the southern part of Queensland, Australia. If you are staying in a hostel in Noosa Heads, you are in the centre of the action, as this area of the three that make up the Noosa region is closest to all of the restaurants and shops located on Hastings Street, the socializing hub of the region. All of the hostels in Noosa Heads are within walking distance from Hastings Street, as it is a rather small area.

The major surf beach, also known as Main Beach, is situated on the Laguna Bay and runs parallel to Hastings Street. If you are into surfing and already know how, you can hire boards from local shops along the beach; they also have full and half-day lessons for available for beginners. Another popular activity within this area is canoeing or kayaking. There is an abundance of dolphin pods that swim around these areas, which you may be lucky to see if you take out a kayak.

The tip of the Noosa National Park, which runs down the coastline, starts just out of Noosa Heads and is full of rocky coves and outcrops along the coastline and hiking trails through the diverse plant life consisting of grasslands and rainforest. The area is also home to many of the native animals, and for those lucky enough to see them, the area is also inhabited by koalas.
