Gold Coast - Coolangatta Hostels

Gold Coast - Coolangatta is a nice and relaxed city on Australia's East Coast. The city is small with amazing beaches separated by rocky coastal areas. There are a few good walks with nice landscapes -- always with the sea in its background -- and the coastal walk from Bilinga Beach to Snappers Rock is a must-do. Greymoth and Kirra Beach, really nice beaches, are the preferred ones for sunbathing. There are a lot of places where you can rent a bike, and it will be an excellent way to get to know and explore all the coast and the many beaches around.

Gold Coast - Coolangatta has also a lot of excellent places for surf -- from Snappers Rock to Belinga Beach, you have plenty of good spots, and if you continue north along the Gold Coast, there will be plenty of other nice surf spots.

In a short distance, you can find Currumbin Sanctuary, a place where you can see a lot of the animals that are unique in Australia, and most of all, be able to touch most of them -- the most wanted are the koalas that will easily think that you are a tree, and be ready to "hug" you.

Gold Coast - Coolangatta is well served for transportation -- there are buses with frequent routes going all the way to Surfers Paradise, the biggest city in Gold Coast. There are also two Greyhound stops -– one in the city center and other near the airport. Gold Coast - Coolangatta also houses the Gold Coast airport, which is only ten minutes' walking distance.

There aren't many hostels in Gold Coast - Coolangatta, but any of them will be good value for money if you choose to stay near the beaches. Most Gold Coast - Coolangatta hostels are really laid-back and welcoming, and you can get excellent tips and deals for surfing. Although Gold Coast - Coolangatta isn't yet a crowded place for backpackers and tourists, you will always find a few travelers around willing to share experiences and travel tips.
