 "1770 Beachside Backpacker is brand new and owned by local people. They try their hardest to make your stay enjoyable but due to the location it seems a sleepy little place tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The hostel is a part of a bigger complex with individual lodges.
The Location
1770 Beachside Backpacker is located in the town of Agneswater along the road leading to the town of 1770. Along the same road closer to the town centre is another hostel with a similar name and many...  "the hostel is very new, so the rooms, kitchen, and everything is clean and good looking. the owner are very friendly and you can do woofing there." … "I've stayed at more than a hundred hostels over twenty-four countries so far and this hostel was simply the best ever. It's just like a five-star resort. Incredibly spacious, surrounded by lovely gardens and it even has its own lake with a boat on it. And there's also a great swimming pool to die for. Owners are so friendly and helpful.... "Cool Bananas in Agnes Water is far and above the best hostel where you may ever stay. It is not that there is anything really flashy or special about this accommodation, but it is that the owner of the hostel has thought of everything a traveller may need. In fact, according to the owner (who was intimately involved in the construction of the hostel), the layout was designed by looking at the best features of existing hostels around Australia.
It is the small details at the hostel that...  "Don't know if Nathan is still there (?) but I went travelling around a lot of Oz and have some of my best memories in 1770.
