Holbrook Hostels

Just off the Hume Highway around halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, you will find the quiet country town of Holbrook. It is a great place to stop off and have a rest and stock up on any supplies that you may need if you are traveling through here, especially on large driving trips. Even though it's a small town, it is equipped with a large town center, so Holbrook has all of the major amenities that you may need during your travels including petrol stations and supermarkets.

While it may be a small town, there is plenty to see and do here. There is an abundance of park lands and bushwalks that you can go on, especially through the Ten Mile Gardens, which contains barbecue facilities and picnic tables for a picnic if you are interested in relaxing and spending the day in the wilderness. The Ian Geddes Walk is also an enjoyable stroll through the beautiful bushland in this area and worth a look.

Of more historical significance to the area is the Submarine Museum and one of the towns most popular attractions. The Woolpack Inn Museum and the National Pottery Museum are also well worth a visit on your trip to Holbrook.

Hostels in Holbrook are just off the highway and may not be within walking distance of some of the amenities that you may need during your stay. It is also recommended that if you are going to stay in Holbrook, that you have a car, as transport around the region can be limited.
