"If i could have gone into the minuses i would have but it would not let me! Over the past three months we have been staying in a lot of hostels and i can say that this is the worst by far! It doesn't deserve to be called a hostel, it is more like a jail. The fully equipped kitchen is not for the use of people staying in the hostel --you have about three forks, a couple of plates, and not much else! and when you ask to borrow something from you get a mouth full of abuse and told to deal with it! "Clean, cosy, helpful staff - I stayed in a 4-bed dorm with comfortable mattresses, a great blanket, and clean bed linen. The dorm was warm and cosy and the bathroom was great with a good shower. The breakfast was basic but with 2 fresh medialunas and good coffee and hot chocolate available. The cooking area was clean and tidy and the stoves worked well. "La Grieta Hostel is only a ten- to fifteen-minute walk from the bus terminal. The hostel is just off the main street of San Martin. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They explain about trips that can be taken and walks in the local area and how long they should take. All the facilities are clean, especially the kitchen area. Most people staying here appear to be Argentinian or certainly Latin American. Breakfast is not included but there are several local stores you can buy bread and other necessities.
