Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno It was great. the cooks were really nice. the beds were comfy. the beach was excellent and so were the cliffs.
The Eagles in Conwy Wonderful place to stay! Friendly people, great amenities, very clean, and if you're lucky you might get a song out of the landlord! Highly recommended!
The Eagles in Conwy Very friendly atmosphere. beautiful surroundings, and everything you need to enjoy your stay in Wales. Facilities were ideal especially for the wet weather we had. Thanks to all the staff.
Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno Lovely and great. I enjoyed it very much. Melissa and her mother are good people, and very kind. The town of Llandudno and its beach and cliffs are very nice, too. When I remember my staying there (three days), I feel good, as if I was in Llandudno again.
Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno Not only is the hostel in a prime location, the accommodations are excellent, and James and Melissa, the folks that own and operate the hostel, are absolutely wonderful! We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every moment. When we return to Llandudno, the Llandudno Hostel will be our choice for lodging for sure!
The Vagabond in Betws-y-Coed Betws-y-Coed is situated near the natural area of Yr Widdfa (Snowdon), so this hostel is ideally located for all those who want to climb, walk, or just know some of the most beautiful natural areas in Britain. Facilities such as supermarkets, the tourist office, restaurants, gift shops can be found within a walking distance. There is a bus stop in front of the hostel (buses to the main towns in Wales and to the heart of Snowdonia), as well as a train station. The atmosphere is quiet in the hostel, which is small but tidy, clean, and comfortable. Several maps of the surrounding area are showed on the wall, but it is worth asking the staff if you need information, as they are friendly and offer a warm welcome to the visitors. The bedrooms are spacious and there are not many bathrooms but they are fine. In general, this hostel makes a very good impression.
Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno This was a great hostel. Ideal location in the centre of Llandudno. Friendly owners. And very comfy beds! Would definitely recommend it to others.
The Vagabond in Betws-y-Coed We stayed in july '09 and found the place to be spotless, warm, and very friendly. The beds were comfortable and clean, the showers were hot and powerful, and the kitchen was excellent which not only allows you to cook and help yourself to tea or coffee but Mark also serves fantastic homemade food at a very reasonable price. I think the price was £7 for our evening meal and only £4 for the cooked breakfast. Either way, we had a great time. The bar certainly helped and I must say that the local ale they sell is lip smacking amazing. Out of ten I would mark it eight.
Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno I think if it had bike rentals and more beds in a dorm that it would have been a 5-star hostel.
Llandudno Hostel in Llandudno This place is great to stay in. You have a nice view from the window.
The Vagabond in Betws-y-Coed I have just come back from staying at the Vagabond Hostel. On first impressions I thought it was a comfortable friendly place. It has a good bar that will only stay open if there is someone there to drink in it. Even though there is not a twenty-four-hour reception there is a number you can call if you need anything. There were eight of us staying and we were given room number 6 at the top. Bedding was provided so there was no need for sleeping bags. There seemed to be a musty smell in the room but I have come across this in other hostels with big rooms. However on getting into bed I found I wasn't alone and also found the source of the musty smell. All around the room by all the beds was thick black mould! It wasn't very nice thinking we were breathing in spores with every breath. If you opened the window to get rid of the smell you were either kept awake by the waterfall outside or by the cold as they seemed to turn of the heating for the night I would suggest earplugs. I didn't
The Vagabond in Betws-y-Coed I stayed with by boyfriend and another couple in August and was disappointed with hostel. The food -- using fresh local produce was nothing of the sort, I was expecting locally sourced food but when we asked it transpires that local produce means bought from the cash and carry in Llandudno! I would advise eating out as the prices in Betws are very reasonable. The showers are unisex, which means if you are quite shy like myself then you will not enjoy being interrupted by naked men when showering. The bar is very limited in what it stocks and the music they play would be more suited to a teenager's bedroom. The rooms are smelly and quite unclean. All in all very poor.
