Phuket Backpacker Hostel in Phuket … Phuket Backpacker is awesome. This was our first time backpacking and we loved it! It is so clean, safe, and the location isnt too bad -- there is bus stop right out the front which takes you to Patong, Kata, and Karon for only 25 Bart.. but its a thirty- to forty-minute hike! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and kept the place in great condition. Met some really nice people while staying there as well. All in all its a great place!
HI - Phuket - Phuket International Youth Hostel in Phuket … The hostess here is very friendly. I felt very much at home at this place. The food is good, too. However, it is far away from the town and beaches, so factor travelling costs into the price of the cheap nightly stay.
Dive Den in Phuket … Stayed in the Dive Den for six days and had a wonderful time. Was only a short walk to the beach and next to shops and market. Room was clean and had double bed. Room was cleaned every day and was very safe. Staff were excellent and gave me advice on where to visit while in Phuket. The staff can also book trips to Phi Phi and Krabi and offer a very good price! Though this hotel was a great location as it was just minutes away from beach road but was not hassled by people. Will recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
Dive Den in Phuket … I had a wonderful three-night stay at Dive Den. Its location is very close to the strip of bars and clubs at the center of Patong (but far enough away that the place stays quiet at night) and a short walk from the beach. My room was always clean and well air-conditioned. And the service was excellent! They went above and beyond to help me plan the rest of my vacation -- they knew a whole lot about the entire surrounding region of Thailand, and they were always ready and willing to offer advice with smiles on their faces. Having a very reliable tourist stand downstairs helped me a lot as well. Overall, great stay!
Phuket Backpacker Hostel in Phuket … I went backpacking all over Asia for four months staying at a large variety of hostels and the Phuket Backpacker was by far the best! The staff are very friendly and accommodating (putting myself and my girlfriend up at Christmas for a week with no reservation). The hostel was always clean and comfortable with well-furbished common areas. Anyone thinking of staying in Phuket I would recommend here above anywhere else.
Atlas Dive Resort in Phuket … We stayed at the Atlas for nine days. The food was terrific, catered for all types. The bungalow we stayed in was average, but what we expected. Overall, the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
HI - Phuket - Phuket International Youth Hostel in Phuket … This is a good hostel, clean and very cheap. All the rooms have twin beds, so there are no huge dorms, and the rooms go for a very low price! The only problem with this hostel is that it is in Chalong, which means it is difficult to get to the beaches. Transport is not very expensive, just difficult by public bus. This hostel is close to Wat Chalong however, so it's nice for a few nights. It has a friendly staff!

HI - Phuket - Phuket International Youth Hostel in Phuket … Terrible Hostel, if you're young, and in need of a good place to stay that cheap by the beach, don't go here!, its in phuket town so its really, really far from any beach. The closest beaches are about thirty minutes by car/motorcycle (Kata beach by the way). It's best to stay here if you wanna really be away from it all, civilization that is. I stated here for two nights. never again.
Shanti Lodge Phuket in Phuket … We fell in love with Shanti. This was our home. We owe Kim and Apichart the world for making us feel like family.
Shanti Lodge Phuket in Phuket … We were not even guests at the lodge -- we only ate dinner there but we went three times. Dinner was fantastic (the menu is as long as your arm -- so if you're tired of eating Thai Curry, you have plenty of options) the eating area is beautiful, and the hospitality shown by Kim and her family was amazing. We went on New Years' Eve, and after dinner we were driven down to a beach (in the back of a pickup with Kim's precocious daughter) to celebrate with the family and other guests. New Year's was great -- complete with fireworks, barbecued delicious food, and drinks. Simply amazing. We later went to Shanti in Bangkok, and it was equally impressive.
Shanti Lodge Phuket in Phuket … Absolutely fantastic place. We stayed there about three years ago for one week. Kim, her kids and the staff were amazing. We all had a fantastic time with them. The rooms are massive and beautiful. The food is incredible and the service is so friendly. Anyone going to Phuket would regret not staying with this family at Shanti. I also wonder if they are OK after the Tsunami???
