Toledo is a magnificent place. There is so much to see, the people are friendly, I loved the place and am planning to take my mother there.
Orea … This is the most cheerful village in Spain, it is really amazing.
Toledo … I've been there twice and am going there with my whole family in two weeks. I love the place and hope that my wife and adult children understand me when we all get there.
Castillo de San Servando Hostel in Toledo … I stayed here for just one night. They are booked from Easter through September, but Sunday nights they often have availability if you call first. This place was very clean with only 2 people per room and private large bathrooms. The view from this castle is amazing, but the hike up the hill from the train station is quite a workout. If you aren't prepared for some uphill hiking, then Toledo isn't the place for you. Unfortunately the place was pretty deserted the night I was there, maybe because it is so big there isn't a cozy place to meet people. It only cost 10,50 euro per night, and an extra 3 for breakfast.
Granja Escuela Orea Hostel in Ciudad Real … Orea is the best hostel in the world.
Castillo de San Servando Hostel in Toledo … I stayed here for one night only, but it was on a bright and sunny day in November. It cost only 10,30 euros with breakfast included. This hostel is a very nice place!
Castillo de San Servando Hostel in Toledo … I am actually writing this from the hostel computer. For only €1/hour, this is the best deal I've seen yet. I'm sharing a room with one friend. We didn't have an HI card, but you can buy it one night at a time. The rooms are very clean and spacious, very comfortable. I was blown away by how great of a deal it was. The only downside is the food (it sucks, don't pay for a meal) but that just gives one an excuse to explore the city looking for food. It's easy to find. If you ever get lost, just ask for the castle. And come on, you get to sleep in a castle!!!
El Quijote Hostel in El Toboso … We stayed at this hotel in 2002 and found it to be very friendly. The staff were helpful and displayed a good attitude to weary travelers. The rooms were excellent, well cleaned and maintained. The restaurant was good with good menus. The only strange thing was that the breakfast the next morning was served at a little cafe just down the road from the hotel.
Castillo de San Servando Hostel in Toledo … The only reason that this got a four instead of a five is because there's absolutely nothing going on here at night. It is however one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. We got two single beds in a massive room with our own massive, and extraordinarily clean bathroom for a low price with breakfast included.
Centro de Vacaciones Sol Verde Hostel in Villanueva de la Fuente … Agradable. En plena naturaleza. Actividades deportivas. Gastronomía manchega. Bien. [English Translation: Pleasant. In the a place of nature. Sport activities. Gastronomy manchega. Good.]
