Holiday in Korea Hostel in Seoul The hostel is such a nice place to met people and friends and the stuff is so friendly. This was really a great idea and dream to renovate this hostel. Thank a lot from my side and I hope you will accommodate a lot of travellers from all over the world.
Foxy's Guest House in Seoul Really nice place to stay. I stayed for six days last December there during my first trip to South Korea. The owners, Jacky and Debbie are really friendly and nice, and it's been a real pleasure staying with them. The place has an abundant supply of hot water, is warm and cozy, and the owners are really nice. Thumbs up for Foxy's guest place!
Seoul Backpackers in Seoul I visited this hostel in autumn 2003. The staff were friendly & helpful. There's free internet access. Breakfast is also free. The dorms and toilets are clean. There is also a golden retriever guard dog in the house! Definitely a great place to stay in!
Holiday in Korea Hostel in Seoul This hostel was very clean, and located within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Seoul. There weren't many people staying at the time I visited, so I don't know how great of a place it is to meet people. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to find in a massive city, they need to update their directions. Take them literally. Otherwise, great hostel, and I would definitely stay there again.
Seoul Backpackers in Seoul Good place unless you don't like dogs — at last count there were five! Friendly staff and central location. It gets cold in the winter though so bring a sleeping bag.
Kims Backpackers in Seoul The owner was friendly and helpful. The free loaner towel was much appreciated but the furnishings were average. The hostel doesn't have much in the way of ambiance or atmosphere but it's a perfectly decent place to lay your head. It's hard to get to from the station (Hapjeong) if you don't print out the map on their website. It's located in a relatively quiet suburb. "No alcohol, no violence, and absolutely no dead-drunkenness." Two computers with free internet access available although frequently occupied. They had a thoughtful patio. My only complaint is that they had a mosquito problem. I came away with dozens of bites as did everyone else there at the time (late September).
Seoul Tower Hostel in Seoul My girlfriend and I spent two nights in this place and it was pretty crappy for the price - 35,000 won for a double.
We had to ask for sheets and towels, which were tiny. The so-called free breakfast was non-existent.
We did arrive late, and there was someone to meet us, and he was friendly enough. And they were doing renovations, so maybe things are better now.
But for an extra 5000 won, or US$5, you can get a much better double with ensuite and a TV in your room at Namsan Guesthouse - with a free breakfast that does exist, free internet and free shuttle services to the markets and palaces.
Seoul Backpackers in Seoul Definitely a place to avoid. The staff are very rude and unhelpful. There are two or three other places literally meters away that are much better.
Seoul Tower Hostel in Seoul Just tried to find this place on foot and can't. Is it still there? Phone number is a fax machine. Taxi driver had never heard of it, though that doesn't mean much.
