Isle of Arran … Ive worked in many places, but to live and work at Arran was the most beautiful place I've seen. It was like heaven.
Lochranza Youth Hostel in Isle of Arran … I've stayed here three times and keep returning because the location is so magical. The hostel is a pretty standard YHA hostel (clean, lots of rules, families) in a very pretty old building. Recommended.
Whiting Bay Hostel in Isle of Arran … 1964... many a happy memory of teenage friends and great times at whiting bay hostel. country dancing and summer concerts, sing songs at the pubs chasing skirt long ago! now Toronto's my home.
Lochranza Youth Hostel in Isle of Arran … I found the hostel absolutely lovely. The building was warm and cozy with a comfortable library. The staff were very nice and I appreciated the snacks they had for sale before I went out to explore the island. My only complaint is that there was a lockout and I wasn't able to return to my room after a night out at the pub. The village of Lochranza is wonderful and be sure to wander down to the Lochranza Hotel and the Catacol -- both offer a great meal and a great pint with spectacular company!
