Flax-Mill Hostel in Dungiven … Stayed here in 2004. Was a really fantastic stay in an idyllic hostel in a wonderful place. Very peaceful, amazing beds, wonderful (freshly picked) breakfast. Old fashioned charm. Thoroughly recommend.
Rick's Causeway Coast Hostel in Portstewart … I spent one day in the hostel... Very good owner and his wife. Besides, there is a very nice view of the ocean. I hope I come back to the hostel once again.
Derry City Independent Hostel - Steve's Backpackers in Londonderry … I loved this hostel. I stayed in it for one night while on a backpacking tour of Northern Ireland. I thought the staff was super nice and the facilities were great. The rooms were nice and quiet and the bathrooms were okay. The free internet was nice and there's a nice TV room, with DVD and videos. The dining room was a little creepy. It was Asian-styled so you sat on the floor with this scary hemp snake staring at you. The kitchen was nice. We stayed at the one down hill, it was pretty nicely located.
Paddy's Palace Derry in Londonderry … I thought this was a lovely place to stay. The staff were lovely, and I recommend this place to anyone, especially families.
Derry City Independent Hostel - Steve's Backpackers in Londonderry … Great hostel, super friendly staff, lots of character, very clean, and hot showers. Without a doubt the best hostel I've stayed in in Europe, it would rank right up there with some of the best from Australia and the South Pacific which are the best that I've seen.
Rick's Causeway Coast Hostel in Portstewart … Excellent hostel, very friendly and accommodating. Well equipped kitchen and sitting room. Rick has furnished the place like a home more than a hostel. Brilliant location in the lovely town of Port Stewart.
Downhill Hostel in Downhill … This place was awesome! It's right on the beach, and it's very peaceful. I stayed here for five days because it was so nice. The showers were hot and powerful! The reception is good, and you can really relax! It's a great place for singles and families alike.
Flax-Mill Hostel in Dungiven … Stayed for two nights in 2002 and best hostel we stayed in in the U.K. by far. inexpensive, cosy and comfortable. Beautiful area, highly recommend it if you're looking for real country hospitality and something different from your average hostel.
Dolce Vita Hostel in Londonderry … We stayed at this fab place which is an extension of the Derry Independent City hostel for only one night. Wish it was longer. It is simply fabulous with great decor, a fantastic kitchen, free breakfast, internet, and a great movie selection. Would recommend it!
Derry City Independent Hostel - Steve's Backpackers in Londonderry … wow, what a hostel! the help is absolutely amazing! they definitely leave a mark on your trip there! nothing like sitting in front of the hostel in the wonderful irish sun watching the carking!
Downhill Hostel in Downhill … I was backpacking through ireland and I was lucky enough to hear about the downhill hostel. It is out of some fantasy of which I have never had the privilege of experiencing untill i came upon that big white house overlooking the ocean.
Paddy's Palace Derry in Londonderry … I visited Paddy's in October of 2006. It was my first trip out of the country. Steven made myself and the group I was traveling with feel very welcome and comfortable. Erica was very kind to us all and seemed truly happy that we were staying there. The rooms were comfortable and they did have keys to lock them. I was thankful for a bed with clean sheets and a hot shower. My visit was enjoyable and educational. I would happily visit again!
