HI - Zacatecas - Hostel Villa Colonial in Zacatecas … I have been coming to Zacatecas for five years now and can honestly say that Ernesto and his staff are real pros at making their guests feel right at home. Their positive attitude and friendliness ensures that everyone gets to visit the many attraction that this beautiful colonial city has to offer everyone. Ernesto's background and knowledge of running a hostal are supremely superb. I wish there were more stars to be awarded to places of this caliber.

It's a lovely house, centrally located, with great views across the city. what sets it apart is the hospitality offered by the owner, Ernesto, and his brother Guillermo, who runs the tours. Between the two of them they will ensure you have a great time in the fantastic city of Zacatecas. Their cousin, Chacho, who runs the nearby Todos Santos bar -- haunt of artists and musicians -- is fantastic as well. I had so much fun in Zacatecas. It was easily the highlight of my stay in Mexico.

Lukas Hostel in Aguascalientes … I'm certainly glad that I decided to stop in Aguascalientes! Moreso because the owner of the Lukas Hostel is as gracious, kind, and helpful as can be! In hindsight, I'm surprised that I maintain such a positive memory of my four-day stay there in spite of having arrived in the city sick from La Turista and having had, for the most part, progressed to the point of being stricken to a bed eating soft foods! But I somehow had managed to have a great time in Aguascalientes anyway for what little I was able to go out and experience it -- especially thanks to the hostel manager's innate ability to keep things lively and going! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the laundry free!, and an internet cafe is right next door! Kudos to the owner for being such a great host to the city!

Not only the building is great and they keep it in great shape, not only the services and the computers, the location, but the staff, what a great service! It's a hostel, but the service is five stars. The rooftop terrace has a great view, especially at night. You deserve all this and more, guys!

HI - Zacatecas - Hostel Villa Colonial in Zacatecas … Where to begin. the price is ludicrously cheap for what the poor traveler will receive. ernesto's beaming hospitality and goodwill is a rare find in the hostel industry. for the weary and exhausted, his promises of fiestas, tequila, and travel advice is so heartwarming. but the facilities here are incredible. everything is homey, clean, safe, warm, and more than adequate. the rooms are not big, but they're sufficient and decked out so that it feels like your own bedroom. the location is co close to everything, and be sure not to miss the view from the rooftop terrace. the walk up the stairs to see the roofs of the city is in itself worth a night's rent. visit zacatecas, you won't regret it.
