Campeche... We are so lucky that we stumbled upon this hidden pot of gold. The walled city is something that should not be missed. This quaint town has a colonial feeling with clean streets, bright colored buildings, a gorgeous town square, art and music. We all agreed this was one of the top highlights of our trip. Can't wait to go back!
Monkey Hostel Campeche in Campeche … I've traveled europe and the Americas and the monkey hostel is among my favorite places to stay. The staff are awesome, the veiws breathtaking, and the price is right. Campeche is a jewel of a town, don't miss it!
Monkey Hostel Campeche in Campeche … Hiya! I'm from England and I've been in Hostal Campeche (now Monkey Hostel Campeche) for 2 months and it's a wonderful place to stay, I felt like in home... I absolutely recommend it.
Monkey Hostel Campeche in Campeche … A nice place to stay in a truly beautiful post colonial town, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable and it looks right over the main square. you can also get stunning views of the city from the roof top terrace.
Monkey Hostel Campeche in Campeche … I really think that this hostel is grossly overrated. When we visited Monkey this year, we were less than impressed. The strong smell of urine masked by cleaning product that was emanating from the toilets/showers was the first thing I noticed. The of course there was the fact that for some reason that was not fully explained to us the electricity would only be on between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., meaning that outside of those hours the fan in our stiflingly hot room would be off. We returned to our hostel later that night to find the hostel cat (now I love cats, but this one was so ugly not even I could love it) on the breakfast table eating the bread for the next days breakfast (we gave that a miss). Topping this all off was the state of the guy on reception, who seemed completely out of it. Whats more, this hostel indulges in a big hostel no-no which is letting locals pay to live there (a well known hostel rule as generally the type of local who needs to live in a hostel makes an…
Monkey Hostel Campeche in Campeche … In Campeche, Monkey Hostel seems to be the happening place to be. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and while not perfect or sparkeling clean, it's more or less clean (in a sanitary sense). The staff are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating 24 hours a day. Someone connected with the hostel has…
Hostal La Parroquia in Campeche … Hostel La Poarroquia is a brand new hostel, but as a result is quite sterile also. Breakfast is great (bread, juice, coffee, fruit) and is served in the restaurant attached (at street level). Because the owners have several restaurants in town, you get a discount of 10%-15% at them all. They…
Pirate Hostel in Campeche … For the variety of hostels in Campeche, Hostel del Pirata may not be the wisest choice. To begin with, it's located a bit far from the center but not within walking distance of the first class bus station, you'll find yourself walking more than necessary. The rooms in the Pirate Hostel are…
