Nagasaki Ebisu Youth Hostel in Nagasaki … This hostel is a great place to experience discrimination! While Caucasian guests are treated nicely (I think that's why it is described as "friendly" and "years of helping travelers" in the guidebooks), Asian travelers (especially from developing countries) are treated like trash! This is the first hostel I've ever known that the fee you pay is for between check-in and check-out time only! Which means even though you stay there for a few continuous days, you must leave the hostel between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! Oh, did I forget to mention that they only have one shower for the whole hostel? With "many people are waiting" as a reason, they will bang on the door loudly and ask you to get out if you stay in the shower for more than ten minutes. In my case, it the husband owner who did that and for God-know reason, he just stayed there in front of the shower door when I got dress.
