Yokohama Hostel Village in Yokohama … The hostel was in the process of renovating when I went, so the rooms should be quite clean and tidy. The staff are really friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The hostel is run as a non-profit with proceeds going to help the gentrification of the neighbourhood. The hostel is a five-minute walk to Chinatown and a JR station. The best (only!) option for a good cheap place to stay in Yokohama.
