Alghero … It is a lovely town -- great places to stay and eat, is not too expensive, and of course it has a marvelous coastline. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and funny sea weeds. I loved staying here and I hope to return soon.
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … I visited before Christmas 2002. Excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. Recommended.
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … We stayed here this summer (2006) and it was brilliant value for money. The staff we're incredibly friendly. The rooms were much bigger than we expected, they are simple yet comfortable and kept clean everyday. We wanted to stay in Alghero, but after staying here and visiting Alghero we were glad we didn't. There's a regular bus service to the centre. The town the hostel is in doesn't have a lot going on but the beach is so close and there's a great bar, on the beach, with really friendly locals.
HI - San Vito - San Priamo Hostel in Villaggio San Priamo - Cagliari … We really loved the hostel! It was the best hostel we ever visited. We would recommand it to everybody!!! Next year we will be back...
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … I was last here in 2003 — Bene! It's a wonderful place to stay, clean and the staff are friendly. They have bikes for hire to explore the local area and it's very near beaches and bus services to other parts of the Island. Alghero is just a short bus ride away (10-15 minutes) and is well worth visiting.
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … Very friendly staff gave me an enjoyable stay during October '03. They were helpful and happy to spend time with you. The hostel has good facilities - even if the drive needs a few holes filled! I hope to come again one day!
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … I visited here in June 2004. There were plenty of beds available, it was very clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly. They can speak English if you can't speak Italian. There's a basic breakfast, you can hire bikes, and if you're coming from the airport you can either get picked up (book in advance), or you'll need to take the bus first to Alghero town, then to the hostel. (I walked/hitched, but of course this is never recommended!) The best beaches are a 15-minute-plus bus ride or a 20-minute-plus cycle away.
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … Great location, warm & friendly staff, and even if I didn't speak Italian, I had a great time! I would definitely go back.
HI - Castelsardo - Golfo Dell'Asinara Hostel in Castelsardo … Visited July 04. Very clean and spacious, with a veranda overlooking the sea, and lots of space to hang washing and sit outside. Breakfast was very good (just crunchy toast and jam and a hot machine drink). The staff are friendly and speak excellent English. The beach is a 10-minute walk down the hill. There's a bus direct from the airport to the bottom of the road (1 hour 30 minutes). There's a lovely but quite narrow beach, and more are a bus ride away. Lu Bagnu is a small holiday village, and has a few good supermarkets. No kitchen, but there's dinner for 7-8 euros at the hostel.
Ostelli di Alghero Hostel in Alghero … The hostel is clean and the staff very helpful. They don't provide bikes any more, but there's a bike rental around the corner, where you can rent them for 8 euros per day. Unfortunately some of the beds/mattresses are totally worn out and the breakfast is very basic (two days in a row we had just a coffee and a croissant from the vending machine). A nice B&B in Alghero is probably the better option, if you don't travel on your own.
HI - Bosa - Malaspina Hostel in Bosa … I visited here July 04. It's close to beach, which is good for windsurfing. It's a 10-minute bus ride or 30-minute walk from Bosa Centro. Rooms are small but very clean and cool. I couldn't work out how to get breakfast (!) or the pricing but it was still cheap, 13 euros for a dorm bed. No kitchen. Staff became friendlier during my stay!
Aquarium B&B in Alghero … It is called Aquarium Hostel but it's basically renting a room out of Erica's apartment. And Erica is awesome! The place is beautiful, clean, and has an awesome terrace overlooking the city and the mountains. The proprietor is super friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help you out. She also serves a nice, big, kick-ass breakfast! Probably more appropriate for more mature (older) people. But do not let that stop you! Would definitely recommend.
Apartment Poetto in Cagliari … Absolutely lovely!!! It was close to the beach, and beautiful nightlife at Poetto beach. The apartment is very sweet, ideal for two. The owner was very nice and kind in showing us the area.
