Citadel Youth Hostel in Jerusalem i spent a few days on the roof of this beautifully located hostel underneath the jerusalem sky. It's great! you'll meet loads of other travelers and enjoy their company on the roof while enjoying beer and conversations. sure, it's definitely not the cleanliest place in israel but still it's nice, the showers are hot and decent, the kitchen is equipped quite well, and the staff are very friendly and cooperative. only bad thing to my mind is that you couldn't really store your luggage securely -- just in some kind of hallway. which was fine, as it was for free.
New Palm Hostel in Jerusalem The Palm Hostel is a lovely, clean hostel, with very helpful staff. It has a great location near Damascus Gate.
Jaffa Gate Hostel in Jerusalem Place was pretty freaking awesome. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Great location, cosy, clean. It has great views from the roof.
HI - Jerusalem - Yitzhak Rabin Hostel in Jerusalem Excellent! I loved the service and the installations were very comfortable.
Citadel Youth Hostel in Jerusalem The staff are brilliant! I only got home yesterday and have absolutely no complaints! The staff really looked after us while we were there! I was traveling with another friend and we were worried about safety, but the guys at the hostel were fantastic! The hostel itself is situation in an ideal location. It was great to spend christmas in the old city of jerusalem! It was only a ten-minute walk from the new city! the view from the rooftop of the hostel was incredible! Spend one morning eating pancakes with other people from the hostel up there, was awesome! If you're thinking about visiting this hostel, don't have any doubts! I will definitely be going back!
HI - Jerusalem - Beit Shmuel Hostel in Jerusalem I stayed in Beit Shmuel for five days when I traveled to Israel with my class from school. This was the only hostel we stayed in, as we stayed in four-star hotels for the remainder of our trip. I can easily say that Beit Shmuel was my favorite place to stay, and the view from it is spectacular at night. I would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone travelling to this beautiful city.
Hashimi Hotel & Hostel in Jerusalem The best hostel I ever visit with a very good price. I was there with my son and friend for eight nights and I really liked it. The atmosphere was wery good and the hostel was wery clean. The best thing was to sit on the roof and realaxing over old town of Jerusalem. I can really recommend it.
Hebron Hostel in Jerusalem Very clean, with space, a nice living room and free Wi-Fi internet! The staff are really cool, and the dorms are comfortable. The roof is great too, because you can stay there and bathe in the sun, when you're too tired of the noise and constant movement of the Old City. Really cheap, and you can meet people from everywhere, always happy to discuss or have a walk to the Wailing Wall with you. Go there! You won't regret it!
Citadel Youth Hostel in Jerusalem We weren't expecting very much but were very impressed once we arrived. Very well located inside the Old City, the hostel is next to the Arab market and quite close to the Western Wall without being far from Jaffa Gate. It was cheap and we definitely got more than our money's worth. The room we stayed in was quite big with an en suite shower and toilet and although there was no air conditioning, it was permanently cool due to the stone architecture of the building.
The guy running the place, Chris, was not only friendly and hospitable, but he was incredibly helpful in providing advice on how to get around, etc., and never hesitated to fulfill any of our requests (including helping us find another hostel in Tel-Aviv for our last two nights).
Next time I come to Jerusalem I'll definitely be staying there again!
Citadel Youth Hostel in Jerusalem The Citadel Hostel is an experience that I would not have missed. It is not your standard building with a standard experience. It feels like you have walked back in time, in a positive way. The curved rock ceiling and walls gives the feeling of entering a cave. The decorations give one the feeling of entering an Israeli culture. Hospitality was warm but not intrusive. Rooms were clean and bedding was changed daily. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and although small, were functional. The only drawback was that there was no place to put your clothing while showering. A shelf in each shower would be useful. The view from the roof was unbeatable! However it looks like there is a building under construction that may eventually block the Dome of the Rock. But hopefully the Dome of the Rock will be replaced soon by the Temple of the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, and I am sure the view from the Citadel will be even more beautiful!
Hashimi Hotel & Hostel in Jerusalem What a pleasure it was to stay at the Hashimi Hotel. The staff members are all excellent, friendly, generous persons. On top of all these wonderful qualities they are also so helpful and thoughtful. I most especially enjoyed the wonderful Palestinian breakfasts. What a delightful treat it was to eat fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh bread and deliciously "fattening" sweet pastries in the mornings. All the breakfasts are prepared by the loving hands of the staff. All this was included in a reasonably priced room. My room was very clean and very cozy. The location of the Hashimi is also perfect... within walking distance to all the holy sites that I wanted to go to. Would I stay there again? For sure... without a doubt, since the people at the hotel are now my dear friends.
Petra Hotel & Hostel in Jerusalem This Hostel is now called the New Petra Hostel because its renovated. It looks great as compared to before. They serve free breakfast now for everyone staying in the private rooms -- no matter how many people are in the rooms. Hanging out on the roof is awesome- having a conversation with some of the workers here could literally change your life. And also its a great place to meet people from all over the world. For me the staff was very accommodating, if you are nice with them they are nice with you. Ive heard people complain about things important and they get fixed quickly. But there are people who complain about an ant on the wall, who cares. The dorms are fun, really nice atmosphere. The place is clean, the sheets do look like theyve been washed a thousand times but everything looks pretty Ok to me. There's a kitchen you can cook in and a refrigerator for all your foodstuff. There are safes for valuables. Its pretty homey. It is the best location of any hostel ive seen here. And
