HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … Great place to be in Delhi, especially when you’re new and ignorant of the other places. Very clean, great hospitality, but other than breakfast the rest of the food needs improvement. But it isn’t a problem cause you come to Delhi for work and rarely have time to have food in hostel. Anyway, it’s the best.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … good facilities but the number of the rooms should be increased as we don't get the booking. and one should know that it's the capital of the country and one who wishes to travel north would always make it a centre as the transport would favour them.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … Described as being a "new", it does not appear that way. Rooms are ok and relatively clean. However there is a general malaise about the place. From reception, who will make you wait until they have finshed whatever they are doing before acknowleging you, to the canteen who do apparently do not have milk for your black coffee, the the laundry guy who thinks its OK to knock on every door at 9.00 in the morning, to the broken internet terminals. As of the 5th March they no longer provide lunch or dinner, so if you arrive in the evening you need to eat outside the hostel. There are restaurants close by, however they are expensive so you are limited to a few take away joints, but the signs in the canteen forbid eating food bought outside. Other than that the location is quiet and is closer to the airport than most other choices.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … I think that is very much facilitate one's difficulties of accommodation in such a metropolitan city, but man sitting in receptionist seat is very weird in sense of behaviour and he always not allowed afghans to stay as he lies and pretend there is not any bed even though i have seen there were many beds available.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … This hostel is located amongst the embassy district of New Delhi. It's very close to the U.S. embassy and across the street from what I believe was the Chinese embassy. The rooms are clean but the food in the kitchen is plain. The security guard though went out of his way to help me and there are plenty of auto rickshaws and a taxi stand nearby. Also there is a small market around the corner and some higher end restaurants for the embassy folks if you are looking for Western comforts. They were renovating at the time I was there in March, hopefully they have updated a bit by now. If you just need a clean room for the night or a few nights it is not too bad.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … I had a membership card that expired without me ever staying there. Not that I didn't try! Every time I used to go there they used to turn me back saying that they were booked. However if you are white, chances are you'll be welcome. I think India is the only place in the world that disrespects their own citizens! The only possible reason I can think for this is that India is a country that has always been colonized and this slave mentality is in the psyche of most Indians.

HI - New Delhi International Youth Hostel in New Delhi … What is the use of giving out a contact number if there is no one to attend to it? Even if the hostel is full, the caller needs to be provided full attention and information about the date of the next availability and options.

Hotel Blue Bell in New Delhi … in the heart of city. i shifted from some other hotel nearby. blue bell was nice. washroom was neat and clean. room had beautiful paintings on the wall. food was amazing -- tried all the indian dishes, they were yummy.
