Hafaldan Youth Hostel in Seydisfjordur I really enjoyed that hostel. I stayed in Hafaldan hostel this summer. It is very nice, clean, and beautifully located. I have never been so far in any hostel from which you can admire mountain and sea landscapes at the same time. In building I liked the most new and fully equiped kitchen, which makes you feel at home. Big plus also for a professional, helpful, and friendly staff. Without doubt I recommend that hostel during Yours Tour de Island.
Hafaldan Youth Hostel in Seydisfjordur Very great view and a nice quiet lounge/dinner/reading area. I recommend it!
HI - Hofn Hostel in Höfn í Hornafirði A curious wee hostel, centrally located in the small fishing town of Hofn. Potentially a handy location if circling the island, but marjorly let down by the fact it has permanent residents who have taken over the very limited facilities. Not a clean hostel at all, everything either rattle
Hafaldan Youth Hostel in Seydisfjordur Seydisfjordur hostel's decor is reminiscent of a wooden alpine hut, but it is kept clean. Facilities in the hostel are modern and the common area overlooks the harbour, which is especially nice at night.
Buses stop the tourist centre up the road, about 10 minutes walk away. Seydisfjordur hostel
Hótel Framtíð in Djupivogur Hotel Framtid offers sleeping bag accommodation for ISK2,400 - admittedly pricey compared to elsewhere in Iceland, but cheaper than the other alternatives in Djupivogur. The Berunes YHA is on the other side of the fjord - it is nice and scenic, but a long way away from services in the town.
