Sun Kong Hostel in Wan Chai District … A very friendly low budget Hostel, very close to all the action.
I also met some nice people from all over which is always a good testimonial. It's one stop on the MTR to Wan Chai (The Bridge is a 24 hour pub, and Devils Advocate and The White Stag are well worth a visit, as is Fenwicks), two stops from Lan Kwai Fong (classier bars, also more pricey!) The Hostel has a very good 24-hour supermarket opposite and close restaurants and cinemas. It's definitely worth a visit for a week or so.
Yes Inn Hostel in Wan Chai District … The hostel is very clean and very pretty with all the colors of the rainbow. In my point of view you'll feel safe with the camera and security and really get to know the people who come to the hostel, like me. I met the wonderful Lizzie and people from different countries like Ozzy from Down Under and Behind Places. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet people such as me as well!
Wang Fat Hostel in Wan Chai District … Great value for the price. We stayed there for eleven nights. Excellent location, just near to the subway station and all crazy and exclusive shopping malls. Twenty seconds to the twenty-four/seven supermarket. Room was clean and service very helpful. You can take old-fashioned tram to the center. Recommended.
Yes Inn Hostel in Wan Chai District … It's nicely decorated and very clean. It's pretty small but very nice and cozy. The staff are very kind and helpful. Although it's small they are glad of big bookings so I did have to move to another hostel mid-way through the week. But they were nice about it and I got a bigger bed!!

Wang Fat Hostel in Wan Chai District … Great location and good value. Clean room with linen, towel, hot/ cold drinking water, air-conditioning, and TV. Staff are friendly and helpful. I got to stay here again when I went back for the Hong Kong Disney. By the way, the boss has a very adorable little girl. Look out for her star appearance...

Wang Fat Hostel in Wan Chai District … I stayed here in April 2004, during heavy travel season in Hong Kong. The owner horribly overbooked his rooms. He asked if I would give up my room and relocate to another room "nearby." He's a nice guy so I agreed. Turns out, the other room was several blocks away. After a night there, I then requested to return. And for the next three nights, I was shuffled from room to room. On vacation, it's annoying not knowing where you'll be sleeping that night.
Yes Inn Hostel in Wan Chai District … I am currently staying at the Yes Inn Hostel and have checked into one of the six-beds mixed dorm. And the reason why I am up at 4 a.m. typing this comment is because I have been bitten by bedbugs and have over twenty bites over my body, leaving me unable to fall asleep. They have a personal light over the dorm beds, which is a good thing if you want to have a nice bedtime read. But it is so gross to flick on the switch at night and see bugs crawling from out of your pillow and hiding from the light.
