Hong Kong I learned several things on my trip here. The subway goes all the way to the China border. You can take it from Kowloon (Mong Kok) station for 6.50 HKD. After you cross the border, The Shenzhen train is almost right there. If you go to the Peak, the tram costs 33 HKD RT. You can take a bus much cheaper. If you want to walk, the walk is gorgeous!
Oriental Pearl Hostel in Yau Tsim Mong District clean environment, staff friendly, and good location.
Dragon Inn / Ah Shan Hostel in Yau Tsim Mong District I went there for two weeks. I enjoyed staying there because of its enthusiastic service. They are very nice and helpful. And you may also access the internet using their computers. And each room is also equipped with internet access points so that I can use my own portable computer. Very good.
King Wah Hostel in Yau Tsim Mong District I have been there five times and every time it was fantastic. The hostel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel because of the location -- it is situated right in the centre of Mong Kok, close to shopping centres and cinemas. I can recommend this place to everyone!
Dragon Hostel Hong Kong in Yau Tsim Mong District Very good location, close to all means of transportation. Lots of shops, restaurants and markets nearby.Very clean and cosy. Owners are really nice and helpful.
Hong Kong Downtown Backpackers in Yau Tsim Mong District For the price and location the place is excellent value for money, for what is essentially a safe place to stay without the frills and ridiculous hotel prices there isn't much you could really ask for. One thing I loved is that it is on the third floor which basically means it is the first stop on the elevator and if you cant be bothered waiting there is always the crafty side exit with the stairs therefore you can get in and out quickly unlike most of the other hostels that seem to be on higher floors. The location is fantastic as directly in front of the building is the Tim Sha Tui MTR and bus stops all around plus you can get KCR east rail from there too, so you can get to places like mong kok really quickly. I had twin en-suite bath room I shared with friend, it was clean, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was the same. There was TV and air con there too which all did their job -- nothing fancy but what do you expect. The staff there are really friendly and always willing to
Apple Hostel in Hong Kong it is very nice and clean. the rooms are little small but manageable. the staff are very helpful and very friendly, especially with children. i will stay there if i come to hong kong next.
Vincent Guest House in Yau Tsim Mong District Hi Apple, I'd just like to thank you and your other half for your warm hospitality and guidance given, a big thank. We missed the chance to say thanks when we checked out from your premises a bit early in the morning. We enjoyed our stay here very much and hope to revisit you sometime later. For those who browse this site, here is my strong recommendation on this great place to stay. It's so convenient to access anywhere in Hong Kong from here, and it's a safe place. And we have enjoyed great chats with friends from Nigeria and others, great friendships. Thanks again.
Travellers Friendship Hostel in Yau Tsim Mong District The Travellers Friendship Hostel was nice, the rooms were kept clean every morning and they was free mineral water to drink. The staff are accommodating and very friendly. Nice place to stay and very accessible (the MTR is just around the corner of the building). Especially if you are travelling on a tight budget, this is the best place to stay.
New Hong Kong Hostel in Hong Kong I found this hostel very clean, and staff are always try to satisfied what you want.
Comfort Lodge Hong Kong in Yau Tsim Mong District This place had basic rooms with air-conditioning (essential for Hong Kong!) and clean sheets. Rooms also have a television and rooms on the upper levels (which I think are double rooms?) have access to free tea and coffee facilities. Make sure you check in at the reception on the left as you walk in the gate. Close to shopping areas and is a pretty cheap taxi ride from the Kowloon train station.
Kowloon Downtown Backpackers Hostel in Yau Tsim Mong District New Garden Hostel, Traveller Friendship Hostel, Downtown Backpacker Hostel, or is there a fourth name -- it doesn't matter. It's the same. The rooms are clean. But you shower on top of the toilet and you're good if you can do it without getting your towel wet. The staff is trying to rip you off in every way it's possible. The location is excellent and that's pretty much what you're paying for.
Cosmic Guesthouse in Yau Tsim Mong District We booked this hostel based on the good reviews given by the 2006 edition of the "Let's Go" travel book. The hostel is located on the twelfth floor of the Mirador Mansion, which is conveniently located close to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. Upon entering the hostel, we noticed that everything was very cramped into tight spaces. We looked at a room with two beds and a room with four beds and there is virtually no walking space inside the room. The beds are within arms reach and the bathrooms are tiny to a point where it is very difficult to shower or use the toilet. The elevators stop functioning after 10 p.m. so be prepared to climb twelve flights of stairs if you're planning on staying out late. The ladies working at the front were helpful, although I was very displeased with the way one manager handled our deposit situation. We had originally booked a four-bed room but changed to a two two-bed room instead. The costs were the same so it was a no-brainer, on our behalf. We tried
