I was there with a friend last summer and in principle we were going to stay just one day because a Greek girl told us it was an ugly and stressing island, but we finally stayed there for a week! Paros is a precious island! The cobbled streets are small, clean, and full of flowers everywhere. There's a lot of restaurants, pubs, and bars just in front of the sea, near the port and you can stay there till 3 or 4 in the morning. I stayed in the capital, Parikia, which is very beautiful and has good beaches. And then I went to Naoussa (twenty minutes by bus from Parikia) which is a charming town -- smaller than Parikia and one of the nicest places in the Cyclades. In short, I felt very pleased with Paros Island, and I'm sure you're going to feel the same.
Mykonos is a beautiful place but full of tourists who don't respect the island at all -- they shout everywhere, they just go to party, and don't appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. Mykonos could be one of the most beautiful places in the Cycladic Islands, but the noise, the filth, and massive tourism is destroying it. Besides that, prices are excessive!
Ios Island I agree that Ios is a fantastic party town! Be aware of drink spikings though as it is easy to get too comfortable here and let your guard down. Make sure you have one of the 'kebabs' from the place next to the Red Bull Bar in the main square.
Ios Island Ios is one of the friendliest islands I have ever visited. I can understand why people go back year after year. The Orange Bar is so good, and Fiesta a restaurant which cooks such lovely food at a great price, I think can't be beaten. No wonder the locals call us the repeat offenders, as once you go you keep going back.
Ios Island This place has to be one of the best party islands in the world. Your time here will be spent partying at the clubs all night and recovering at the beach or pool by day. Be carefull though, drinking the spirits in the clubs ain't allways what the labels say on the bottles. Stick to bottled beer.
Santorini Island I just got back from Santorini earlier in June. It is a very, very nice place especially Oia, where you can see many white and blue mixed buildings and sunset as well.
Santorini Island If you visit Santorini, you're lost -- you will be in love with the island forever. I stayed there last summer and it was very hard to leave. The capital, Fira, is small but full of life, with its typical white houses; cobbled little streets; bars with delightful terraces where you can sit down and have a "frappé", delicious yogurt or an ice cream; beautiful little churches; and Greek people talking quietly in front of their houses. The peaceful atmosphere lives in harmony with a cool nightlife with lots of good restaurants, pubs, and discos. And of course, you have to visit the town of Oia to see the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen in my whole life. If you're planning visiting Santorini, don't doubt it, do it!
Santorini Island Anybody who visits Santorini will fall in love with it and get addicted to it! The most beautiful place I have ever been! Nice people, good services, and an amazing experience!
Naxos Island I visited Naxos last year, 2002, and I really enjoyed my visit there. It is a village that combines everything. Sea, mountain, antiquities, modern life, good food. Do pay a visit to Apiranthos and Filoti, beautiful mountainous villages. Visit as many of its beaches as you can. Visit the archaiological museum in the Chora of Naxos and ask permission to go out at the terrace and get a wonderful picture viewing the Chora. Try the naxian graviera (yellow cheese). If you get to Naxos, go and visit Koufonissia island too. Don't miss them!!!
Mykonos Go to Delos with the daily trips as such place is full of charm, temples, agora, and statues on an uninhabited island.
Ios Island I have been three times in Ios, it is sooooo great! Stay the longest time in Ios, you will love the nightlife! Nobody is so dressed up, you can wear your sandals in the clubs and the prices are ok.
