I lived in Bad Kreuznach for several years and loved it! So much of my heart and emotions are there. Have been back several times since.
I lived in Hermeskeil when I was stationed at both Spangdahlem and Sembach Air Bases in the late 70s and early 80s and loved going to Trier. Use to be a nice bar at the top of the Holiday Inn right on the Mosel. The open air market had the best produce, the people were wonderful and I really miss being there. I am now in Key West, Florida so the weather is far different than snow and cold. And it is a short trip to the American Cemetary in Luxembourg which is a beautiful place. Enjoy. I did. Misty
I am also from Bad Kreuznach and lived there for fifteen years. I have so many fond memories and still have friends there.
I lived in Bad Kreuznach from 1977 to 1981, when my father was stationed there. I loved it so much and really miss all the fun we used to have.
My wife and I lived in Bad Kreuznach from 1957 to 1960. Our two sons were born there, we loved it. We went back there in 1998 and had a real good trip.
I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach for three months in 1963 and visited many times after that. I had many friends there and loved Bad Kreuznach and its people.
I lived in Bad Kreuznach! Fantastically beautiful area. It's more fun when you're fluent in German, though.
Trier is so beautiful and soothing. I just didn't want to leave!
I feel so blessed to have been able to spend the most precious years of my youth in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. I find myself dreaming of being there, back in time as if I never left. I used to be in the Army, now I'm a Marine. Although I love my Corps, nothing can replace what the Army meant to me, and the experience of being in the Army, stationed at Rose Barracks -- it's a true dream. I wish Rose Barracks would have never closed down, I would have loved to go back and visit heaven on earth -- the place where I lived as a soldier.
I've been to Trier and i think it's a beautiful town! It has everything on the right proportions!! Population, green, water, cafes, clubs ... It is relaxing, plus it is located in the center of Europe, so i wouldn't mind living there permanently as I could practically visit half the European capitals whenever I wanted!!
I spent five years in Bad Kreuznach. I had two children there and at fifteen and sixteen years I'm finally taking them back to show them the homestead, even though it's gone. I was saddened to see how it looks now but I sure will treasure those years forever!
