Casa Cristina in Havana Staying with Cristina and Aurelio was an incredible experience. We not only had a wonderful time, improved our Spanish, and saw every imaginable aspect of Havana — we also came away with a deep understanding of real Cuban life. Most of that was due to the openness and friendliness of this incredible couple. We can't wait to go back.
Lilliam Vigil in Havana Great Location -- close to Malecon. Fantastic breakfast -- fresh fruit, eggs, bread, and the best coffee in Havana. Superb view, thirteenth floor above all mosquitoes, bugs. great, great people.
Casa Tamara in Havana I stayed there for ten days in November 2007. The couple running the place were extremely friendly and helpful. It is spotless clean and equipped with all modern cons. They offer excellent meals at very reasonable prices and give you great local hints about the town, such as do's and don'ts. It isn't right downtown, but the walk there is short and easy. And it is central to reach all other suburbs, that are nice to visit. They were also very helpful for traveling around the country, giving me addresses for other guesthouses and hints on where to go. I can really recommend staying there. You get your money's worth. More than at a big hotel.
Martha Guest's House in Havana We stayed with Martha on arrival in Cuba. We traveled the entire Country and nothing came close to the home comforts here. A home away from home -- very rare in Cuba. We loved it.
Casa Mirtha in Havana Really lovely place, run by two of the nicest people I've met. Great English is spoken here, and there's a lovely breakfast and a real family feeling. I definitely would go back.
Casa Blanquita in Havana My husband and myself have been in Casa Blanquita for two times and we will return again. Everything was perfect! Blanqui is the loveliest and most helpful landlady you can imagine. I offer this house and its owners from all of my heart!
Aurora y Nelson in Havana Our stay in Cuba was unforgettable thanks to Nelson, Aurora and their family. There is no better way to get to know Cuba and Havana! No matter what you need, Nelson is the perfect man to talk to and he'll equip you with the map of Vedado and tips on how to save money in Cuba. For 20 days, we really felt like a part of the family. And they have the best food on island.
Casa Cristina in Havana We stayed here in February 2005. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating and are able to assist you in making bookings in other parts of Cuba, for your bus, calling taxis, etc. You will be staying in the same apartment as the owners and sharing their bathroom, but they are so friendly and helpful we didn't mind a bit.
Felo & Margarita in Havana margarita was a brilliant hostess. she made us breakfast each morning, included in the price, and produced some delicious dinners in the evening. She gave us contacts of friends and family around cuba and booked us into some other brilliant casas on the island. each time we passed through habana, we always stopped off at their house for a couple of nights. in the month we spent in cuba we stayed for ten nights and enjoyed every one of them. we also made friends with the locals, who hang out in the square and introduced us to the area. i thoroughly recommend a visit.
Lilliam Vigil in Havana This crossover between a hotel and "casa particulara" is highly recommended. The entrance is somewhat hard to find (through a dark garage) but the rooms are freshly painted, very clean, and it is conveniently located!
