PingYao Harmony Backpacker Guesthouse in Pingyao … I visited this hostel a few months ago and i cant get the experience i had there out of my mind. I landed with my purse stolen, i only had enough money for a couple nights accommodation. Harmony is family run and they were so kind in helping me retrieve my bank card, offering me food all the time, and always smiling. They helped me so much and trusted i would pay them back for the nights i spent there. They were so generous and chilled! In this guesthouse me and my friend met heaps of people from around the world and would sit and chat through the night. The food was superb and the rooms were gorgeous.
PingYao Harmony Backpacker Guesthouse in Pingyao … Class establishment. Great family run, nothing's ever a problem hostel. I returned at 3:30 a.m. after drinking with a couple of alcoholics to find the place closed up. After a couple of quiet knocks on the door the boss let me in and wasn't the slightest bit grumpy even though we both knew he had to be up at 5 to book people in from the train. Always welcome you after a day's wandering with a cup of tea, really nice touch. Booked my onward journey with absolutely no hassles. Great location and their food was amazing. Book now to save disappointment.
Yamen Hostel in Pingyao … A very pleasant and cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in China. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room is so cool. It's worth it to stay here!!
Yamen Hostel in Pingyao … I consider this hostel with strong character. Being there, you have the opportunity to feel as you were living in Pingyao five hundred years ago. All the details in the house are carefully treated and the historical building is protected. Food is also very good and well presented. But, the main value of the hostel is the staff. All the staff members are helpful and always pleased to help you. Keep doing! I always will recommend this place to stay in Pingyao.
Tian Yuan Kui Hotel in Pingyao … This place was fantastic. The staff were really helpful, it's in a great central location and it has awesome rooms!!!
Tian Yuan Kui Hotel in Pingyao … Very nice hotel. It's ideal for a one-night stay in the middle of the ancient city of Pingyao. Take a rest in nice little rooms, drink a real good (freshly made!) cup of coffee and than step outside to discover the city. Every major attraction of Pingyao is a ten-minute walk away.
Tian Yuan Kui Hotel in Pingyao … When I arrived in my room at 7 p.m. my bed was not made and there was food left there by the previous guests.

Harmony 1 and Harmony 2 guesthouse are owned and operated by the same people and situated two doors apart. Both have similar features and décor.
