Hostal Family Home in La Serena … Some time ago, I spent in the hostal Family Home a couple of months and I can really recommend it. It has a very cosy common living room, the toilets and bathrooms are completely renovated and always clean. The hostel has a privileged situation, close to everything (especially the bus station which is convenient for those who want to travel around). The girls who run the hostel very really friendly and helpful and helped me a lot.
Hostal Nomade in Coquimbo … Coquimbo is a great city from which to plan excursions around the Elqui Valley or simply vacation on a beach. This hostel, while being renovated, is quiet, has the necessary facilities, and has a staff that plans games, get-togethers, and excursions in the area. A good place to be.
