Sunny Days Hostel in Arica … Easily the best organised and most friendly hostel I stayed in South America. A bit far from the centre of town but near the bus station, and about five minutes' walk from the beach. Not a party hostel as such, but depends who's staying there. Definitely recommended if you want a bit of civilisation again.
HI - Arica - Dona Ines - Casa De Huespedes Hostel in Arica … I've spent a few days in this hotel with some friends of mine and I'd like to say that I really enjoyed my stay here, because it is very clean and the English-speaking staff are so friendly. Also, the rooms are very comfortable and all of them have en suite facilities, cable TV and a mini bar — and everything at a low price!
Finally, I'd like to add that the breakfast is delicious. And the most important thing is that there isn't a checkout time, so you can leave the room at any time! (There is no need to be worried about it.) Thanks for giving us the opportunity to say what we think about this place.

Sunny Days Hostel in Arica … This is a fantastic hostel, run by a Kiwi guy and his Chilean family, your host is well travelled and has had some great life experiences, full of stories and great advice, a really good laugh, just what I needed after the Peruvian police swiped my whallet at the border crossing. The hostel is built above their home and breakfast is served in the family home. Stay here and your stay in Arica will be a special one.
