Hostel Manaus in Manaus Surprisingly there aren't many backpacker-style accommodation options in Manaus so I was glad when I heard about this one. Being a single traveler, I really like friendly places with communal areas where you can meet other travelers -- Hostel Manaus has outdoors areas as well as comfy couches so was perfect for me! The hostel feels very secure, the staff are lovely, the place was thoroughly cleaned every day that I stayed there, and because it's so new, at least for now I can say that the bunk beds were the most comfortable and clean I experienced all over South America. Unfortunately, renovations were not quite complete when I was there, but it will be great when the rooftop is ready for BBQs. Overall, I was very happy. Booked in for one night -- stayed for over a week.
Manaus Hostel Trip Tour in Manaus I heard about this hostel from three people I met traveling, who all said it was great. when I walked in, the owner was so friendly and gave me a very warm welcome! It is bright pink on the outside, has open clean spaces on the inside, and is well lit. The showers are great -- tiled and nice. the bathrooms upstairs are for women and downstairs for men. You can get a private room or a dorm. The location is great too -- it's north of Sete de Setembro, so it's safe (near pensao sulista and hotel ideal -- it's no longer safe) and it's near the theater and skina dos sucos, which I love.
