América del Sur Hostel in El Calafate … This is an excellent hostel. It was recommended to me by a friend, and now I am recommending it to everyone I meet heading to El Calafate. you really feel like home. The staff are superb, they know the best ways to visit the major attractions, and they are very very friendly. the sunset from the living room is amazing and they also provide nice breakfast from 6:30 a.m., so no matter how early your tour is, you would be able to have something to eat before you go. I wish I could find more hostels like this one along my travels in Argentina!

I Keu Ken Hostel in El Calafate … By far one of the best hostels that we have stayed in ever! the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate us. Amazing place, very clean, and the dooms are lovely. Fab setting overlooking the lake and a very nice all round atmosphere! Would recommend.

América del Sur Hostel in El Calafate … Just when I'd given up on hostels, I stayed at America del Sur. The location is fantastic (with brilliant views to boot), the staff are friendly and very helpful, and the hostel itself is clean and cozy and offers excellent meals. Really an ideal hostel in every way.

América del Sur Hostel in El Calafate … Best hostel I've ever stayed in, and I have traveled relatively all of South America. The owners are friendly and fun, and never seem to be in a bad mood. The atmosphere is light and cheery and it well accommodated for those travelling alone and wanting to meet people. The place is also impeccably clean and always warm. If you have any brain at all you will stay here!!!

América del Sur Hostel in El Calafate … FANTASTIC hostel: Big wooden Swiss style chalet at the top of a hill overlooking town (not a big hill so easy walk!). Heated floors, toasty fire, super helpful staff that were really wonderful hosts. Best hostel we have stayed at!

HI - El Chaltén - Rancho Grande Hostel in El Chaltén … I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I currently live in New York but the best trip of my life was traveling alone to the South of Argentina and staying at Rancho Grande! Chalten is incredible. The rancho is exactly what trekkers need. Good crowd, excellent staff and Javier, a wonderful host. They all made my trip the best experience of my life. What are you waiting for? Keep on the good job, gang. Che Lagarto Hostel El Calafate in El Calafate … I stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it, it's a brand new hostel and has a great vibe about it, well worth being there just to chill out! good facilities however the plumbing could use some work. Victoria, the cool, skater girl from Mar Del Plata, is a awesome staff person there. some of the other staff though, are a little snobby (girls) but they get the job done! other than that, i give this place a good nine out of ten.
