Green House Hostel in Bariloche … The Green House Hostel was such an excellent choice. The rooms have amazing views onto the Lake, the beds are super comfy, the bathrooms are clean and modern. The hostel has internet (for AR$1), TV, movie projector, books, pets to play with (Otto the Saint Bernard and Sasha the cat!), a really cozy interior, and most importantly, amazing people running it. Brian, Esteban, and Juan (Chino) were all super friendly and nice, and took the time to actually hang out and talk to us rather than just treating us like customers. We were friends. All around an excellent hostel. The kind that makes you wanna live there forever.
La Morada in Bariloche … La Morada was one of the highlights of my visit. Tucked away from the bustle of Bariloche, La Morada sits high upon a mountain with breathtaking views and wonderful silence. The owners and staff are very kind and respectful of people's needs. Also, the facilities are immaculate. The kitchen is a great place if you love to cook and the bedrooms are spacious. The price is also cheap. For a private room with private bathroom, we only paid 30 pesos. I feel confident in recommending La Morada for any traveler who seeks a retreat from their travels.
1004 Penthouse in Bariloche … This is the best hostel in Bariloche -- very central, beautiful views, lovely common areas. Highly recommended!
Alaska Youth Hostel in Bariloche … I loved this hostel! It truly reminded me of Alaska. It's a beautiful log cabin-style building located outside of the downtown area (7.5 km) in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by tall pine trees. Some travelers may find the location inconvenient but I enjoyed riding the bus into downtown Bariloche; the bus stop was about a 1/4 mile from the hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Romi and Martin. The kitchen was very spacious, as were the dorms. The kitchen, showers, bathrooms and dorm rooms were kept very clean. There was an interesting mix of travelers exploring the beautiful Patagonia region. The only complaint I have is the first two nights were spent in the dorm room on the lower floor, which was very noisy with people walking around on the floor above, and the toilet did not work. I strongly recommend the Alaska Hostel for travelers going to Bariloche. But again, it's not in the middle of town so be prepared to walk to the bus stop and ride a crowded bus…
Las Moiras Hostel in Bariloche … I had a really fun time at Las Moiras! The staff was really friendly and everything went really well.
Hostel 41 Below in Bariloche … This hostel is perfect, Just what you need for a trip to Bariloche. Friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen and lounge area. Bedrooms are clean and cozy. The hostel is positioned one block back from the main areas, and close to a supermarket, laundry and a small bar. Also close by are the buses to the mountain (ideal if that is what you are going for.) I'd recommend it to anyone going to Bariloche.
HI - Bariloche - Marcopolo Inn Hostel in Bariloche … We stayed here in July and had such a great time. It is really clean, warm and has excellent cooking facilities. It is central and the view from the hostel is fabulous. Also Javier and the staff are very helpful.
HI - El Bolsón - El Pueblito Hostel in El Bolsón … Great staff, great facilities, excellent dinners. Location is a little out of town, but that makes it even quieter and puts it closer to some hikes and walks. Hands down, the best hostel I've stayed at in South America!
1004 Penthouse in Bariloche … Best views ever, even from every room! Huge kitchen, great staff. Fantastic location. Need I say more?
1004 Penthouse in Bariloche … A cozy and welcoming place — the staff (at the time Cecelia, Juan, Javier, Gladys and Marcel) were patient, very helpful and good fun. The cost per night is good value; the number of things to do around Bariloche is almost endless; the town itself is lovely; the advantageous tenth-story views from 1004 are out of this world; I could go on and on. This hostel was one of the best that we stayed in throughout our round-the-world trip and has stayed with us in the form of happy memories. There is a nice chilled vibe that starts with the staff and I guess is infectious, as most folks we came across here were cool and seemed to love it too. La Morada is just as wicked, too, and has to be experienced.
HI - Bariloche - Marcopolo Inn Hostel in Bariloche … I found Bariloche Hostel excellent. It has an awesome view and is close to town but not in town, more pleasant in my opinion. Plus the place is super clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Javier and his wife are the best hosts. They helped us out on several occasions, for which my friends and I are very grateful. I highly recommend this hostel from my time spent there while in Bariloche.
HI - El Bolsón - El Pueblito Hostel in El Bolsón … This hostel is amazing. run by three really nice guys, all speak english -- and spanish and german also spoken. The main house is lovely with two kitchens, open fire and sitting area, double rooms and dorm rooms. I stayed in a cabin which was very nice. They have a massive garden surrounded by mountains, with table tennis, barbecue, hammocks. It's very homey, i loved it there. It's quite far from town, but only costs $6 in a taxi, or a nice walk. It's very friendly and homey, highly recommend!
