Hidden Treasure My friend and I had no place to stay as we were backpacking through Europe. Some people on the train from Paris said they were staying at a place called Angie's, so we looked it up. What a hidden treasure! The place had so much character, and Angie was no less interesting! A hostel is a hostel, you can't expect it to be like a hotel. I thought it was great and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

This place was horrible. There is no sign outside the building indicating there is a hostel inside, so that seemed kind of sketchy. The dorm rooms are PACKED with bunk beds, and there's absolutely no space to put things besides under your bed. There is one bathroom per floor of about 50 people, with 2 showers and 3 toilets. It's very cramped and there's always a line. I couldn't even count the number of people staying in the few rooms.

The place is clean and the operator Angie is quite a woman. Very friendly, and she helped take care of my very hung-over friend. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need and it's in a good location near two Metro lines.

It was boring.

Angie was quite a character—a ball of energy. My friend and I were flying out of Barcelona early, and Angie came into our room at 5 in the morning to tell us it was daylight savings time and we had to leave now to catch our flight. We had no idea, so she saved us! This place is reasonably priced and in a good location. My only complaint was that the bathroom was not the greatest.

We stayed an extra day there because we were so close to everything. We met people at this place that ended up traveling with us all over Europe. It was a great time there, clean too.

Angie was awesome. Her hostel was one of the reasons Barcelona was so much fun. We met a lot of cool people from all over and ended up coming back when we were in Barcelona again. Cheap, nice, and convenient.

Angie's Hostel was a great hostel to stay at. It's smack in the middle of everything there is to see. Close to the La Rambla and the beach. Angie was great and cleaned everyday, but no complaints!! Miss everyone there thanx for the great times.

Had a good time here myself. I left valuables in the room and nothing was stolen. Basic but cheap... and Angela was very friendly. But beware the quickiest route to La Rambla is through the dodgy part of town. As I read somewhere "not for the feint of heart".

I had a great time at this hostel. Rooms are nice with a big balcony on most rooms. The bathrooms are a little sketchy, there's a nice woman who cleans everyday, and Angie, the woman who runs the place is a lovely old woman. Close to La Rambla and a grocery store is on the same corner.

It looks like a nice hostel, but beware!! The day attendent (Angie or Angela) seems to have sticky fingers. We got 150 € stolen in our locked room, and other people have had stuff stolen from locked rooms. But there's no proof of it and we didn't have time to go to the police ... too bad. Do not go there if you don't want your stuff stolen and never leave valuable objects in your room, even locked.

It's a very cheap and clean hostel. You can have private rooms or larger rooms with about 4 beds. There's a kitchen where to cook stuff that you buy OUTSIDE the hostel (i.e. the hostel doesn't feed you :) ).
