I honestly have a dual feeling about this hostel...
There was indeed a very friendly atmosphere and the host made us feel at home from the moment we entered the hostel. The lady even offered to share the dinner she prepared for her family with us. :)
The infrastructure was very clean but a bit worn (except for the new beds) and primitive. Unfortunately this hostel did not have an inviting chill out room or bar. There was a soft-drink machine and the host did sell beer on request, but the common room was not really an inviting place to meet up with the other visitors.
There wasn't very much to see in the Tarascon city center either, so you would have to choose between an early night in bed or a short trip to the surrounding cities like Arles.
To conclude: The hosts earn a 5 star rating but a 2 star rating for the infrastructure downgrades my overall impression to 3 stars. On the other hand, if you're are simply looking for a place to sleep for one night, this hostel will probably fit all your needs. — Herms (2005-08-24) This was like a horror film hostel. It was hot, the air was stale and with a strange odor, the beds were filthy, and there were spiders and insects everywhere. Our rooms even had the pavement broken...and the shower was in the boiler room. It was hard to pass even one night in it. — Grey (2005-02-02) Quite a nice place, with a friendly atmosphere. It has a good breakfast. Don't hesitate to go here. The owner speaks a lot of languages :) — Inky (2005-01-05)
