The newly opened Xiao Yang Lou International Youth Hostel is located in the city center, next to the famous local Nanmen bridge and aside the peach blossom river which originated from Guilin's famous two rivers and four lakes. The Hostel is conveniently located in the centre of Guilin, a five minute walk from the train station, only three minute walk from the bus station and 30 minutes by vehicle from the airport.
Only a few steps from the famous Elephant Hill the hostel is also surrounded by quiet, quaint streets with plenty of birds flying past and the sounds of the river flowing in the distance. Fishing, swimming & diving are all activities in front of the hostel, and when you need a rest, you can relax sitting by the river with a beer & enjoy the beautiful scenery. Nightfall offers a whole new environment watching the moons reflection in the river from a stroll on the banks, or even taking a boat tour from the hostel's jetty under moonlight. Guilin is certainly a picturesque place to relax & unwind.
Xiao Yang Lou International Youth Hostel offers four room types; the luxury river view room, standard room, single room and dormitory rooms. All rooms have air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms & TV. The Lobby is cozy & comfortable to relax during your visit and also offers a dining room, self-service laundry, self-service kitchen, 24hr internet access, quiet reading area, DVD room, mini supermarket, CD burning facilities & luggage storage.
Our friendly Hostel Front Desk Team can assist with all your requests, including, tour bookings & tickets, airport transport, (including free pick-up from the train station & ‘at cost' pick-up from the airport) city sightseeing guidance, bicycle hire and more.
Our receptionist all speak fluent English and welcome travelers & visitors from everywhere in the world. Not bad, but not that great either. I booked online at one price during the Chinese New Year but got an E-mail that the rates were twice as much and with everything else full I took it. When I showed up they didn't have my reservation and it took 20-30 mins to check in.

Cheapest stay in Guillin, we payed 2,5 EUR per night in a common room (6. pers). Quite clean as for China, english speeking helpfull staff. Huge, safe luggage room. But run as fast as You can from Guillin to Yanshuo or Dazhai, this city is really awfull.

Arrived at 2am after flight delayed and room was gone. I told them i would be there att 12am. I was livid! Got room next night but very noisy but i was tired and slept . Was only there for 2 nights and just used it to sleep. Not a place for socialising!

was a fine place to hang out in guilin and see the sights. not a great communal area but we just stayed there the night on the way to yangshao so this wasnt an issue. Great location.
