Renovated hostel I stayed twice in Dunkerque YH (2002 and 2007). The hostel has been modernized and renovated ever since. Rather good conditions to have night in six-bed dorms. Unfortunately, the YH lacks of equipments -- no email address, no credit card. Lacks of staff, too -- only one person as a cooker and at the reception! Very well located hostel on the seaside of Malo-les-Bains, near a casino, at a few bus stops from the city centre and the station.

The saddest youth hostel I ever stayed in! The staff were not friendly, we couldn't lock our room doors when we were in the room, and there were no curtains to close at night. Breakfast was just a piece of bread with jam. So: don't go there! The atmosphere was terrible. It looks like a prison there. And even a better advice: don't go to Dunkerque at all, because there is nothing to see!
