Fantastic the best of all other places I stayed during six-month 1985 trip. The view, and the atmosphere. I am glad still exist, hope to be back with teen daughter and her friends this summer.

Fantastic Experience This hostel has an amazing view of all of the cote d'azur and it is absolutely silent and peaceful at night. The man who runs the place is very nice and helpful. There's quite a mix of international guests, from families, to single hikers. The kitchen is great, it's just a matter of bringing your own food. The hostel is a fifty-minute hike from the town, but most beautiful parts of Cassis can be seen along this hike. Be sure to make a reservation, but I'm not sure if the owner speaks much English.

A great time I was in the youth hostel in 1968, 1969, 1970 with my friend Harry. In 1973 I was there with my wife. I will never forget these holidays.

Heaven First stayed here in 1966 when Francis was the pere aubergiste. Revisited in 1968, 1970, and 1985. Am hoping to return this year (2008) with wife and child. Heaven on earth.

I think this was the youth hostel my sister and I stayed in, in 1960!!! It was heaven after that long walk on very uneven ground. We are now in our 70s, but vividly recall the Cassis Youth Hostel. It's a pity you don't have a photo to show. With happy memories of our time spent there, best regards, Margaret.

Nice enough hostel if you're okay with over a kilometre walk over unpaved path. The staff have been there for awhile, so they are sticklers for rules. There are no showers or breakfast, and very cold water in the bathroom. However, it does have a kitchen, the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, and there is blessed silence. It's ideal for hikers, not so much for anyone else.
