None of the staff was speaking english, but what else can u expect in Brasil. But they were very nice, and always trying to help u whatever they can.

With a lack of alternative options, travellers will find themselves staying here anyway. The staff are OK but are not particularly helpful. The location is grand. The male dorm is cramped, hot and a bit minging.

There ain't much choice on hostelbookers in Belo Horizonte for hostels. We only spent a night there. It is quite basic, with shared toilets. I thought they needed to clean the toilets more, particularly with emptying the bins. We only spent a night there to get to ouro preto, so it wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't recommend a long term stay.

The owner of the hostel is the most helpful person I've met so far in hostels and speaks fluent English! Since she has travelled as well, she knows what travellers want and need. I totally recommend the place as it has a good atmosphere!!!
