The Location
Literally walk out the front door and you are steps away from the heart and old center of Sarajevo -- the location couldn't be better!
Rooms and Bathrooms
Private rooms, and dorm rooms are available. However, the dorm rooms are not secure, and most dorm room doors are left open, so be sure to bring a lock for your belongings. The hostel has a cabin-like feel with clean wooden floors, angled ceilings, and skylights -- very inviting. The beds are wooden bunks -- very sturdy and quiet. On each floor is a clean shower and sink. Water temperature and pressure are excellent.
Common Spaces
The hostel has two computers with free internet, and free Wi-Fi throughout. The kitchen is clean and equipped with free soup, pasta, cereal, milk, and coffee. The best common area in the hostel is a lounge area with two soft couches (smoking is only allowed on the balcony). The second common space outside the kitchen is great for reading and relaxing. The hostel is equipped with a book exchange and several movies to view for free. The hostel has a shoes-off policy when entering -- this cuts down on dirt, noise, and creates a feeling of being home.

Bedbugs, noise, rude receptionists, avoid if you can. I stayed in the flat -- part of the hostel on the ground floor, which was dirty, smelly, and loud due to bar next door. Opening windows meant exposing belongings to pedestrians. Absolute height of the stay were mean bedbugs size of small nails which bites made my face look swollen like after box match. As soon as the light goes off they crawled all over me, so I slept fully dressed. Receptionists were upset that I wake them up in the middle of the night and complain and were very rude. Their beds did not have bedbugs for sure. Bathroom was disgusting too. It's clean and tastefully decorated throughout. There's a common room next to reception, great for socialising, free internet terminals, free Wi-Fi throughout, a guest kitchen with free tea/coffee. HCC is also right in the centre of Sarajevo as the name suggests, right next to the old town and some great bars. The staff here are the best, very friendly and very welcoming (as well as the most beautiful!).
