The B42 bus is located directly in front of the building and runs 24 hours a day, which means you’ll be able to get anywhere to downtown Philadelphia within 20 minutes. In addition, there are no lock-outs or curfews, and you can enter and leave the building 24 hours a day.
PAYMENT / CANCELLATION POLICY
Your payment through Hostelz.com secures your reservation and is non-refundable. Please note that your remaining balance will be charged to your credit card prior to your check-in. Our check-in time is 1pm. We will give full refunds if you notify us via email within 7 days. This is a nice hostel for students, but not good for parting

the place is good place to stay if you are going to be in Philadelphia for a while. Many of the people who were staying there (during the summer) had been there for more than a few weeks and even a few months. It created a nice relaxed place to stay where you could hang out and meet some nice people. The only draw back (for some) is the location in West Philly which is not within walking distance of center city (but it is walking distance to UPenn). However, the house has a great porch and there is a bus that stops right out in front of the hostel that takes you straight through to center city (max 20 min).

Stayed for one night, the receptionists were friendly and the people who stayed there were respectful (i.e. turned off lights, kept quiet after 11pm). The hostel is actually a huge house, with 4 floors. Location is not that great since its on the opposite side of Olde Town, with all the bars and restaurants and takes about 10 mins to get to in cab ($12). The neighborhood is nice though, quiet and peaceful.

I stayed at lostsel for 4 nights. It has a really homely feel to it and a great home at that! It's only a short, direct bus ride to the centre (20mins) - buses are frequent and the bus stop is right outside the hostel. There are supermarkets a short walk away. I found it a very safe place to be, both in the hostel and in the surrounding neighbourhood. Staff and fellow guests were really friendly. Bunk beds were clean and very comfy. I thoroughly reccomend this place.

It was perfect for what I needed, It is located in the University district and costs less then one tenth of just about any Hotel around. The room size was good, excellent beds and cozy blankets!
