‘Hostal Los Lagos’ is located very close to the Museum Area and Arts and Crafts Market where you can purchase all sorts of native handicrafts and souvenirs. There are also restaurants and night clubs just a few minutes away from here and that will be in the commercial area of the city.
Our rooms are large and pretty well ventilated. Some of the rooms contain balconies. We offer private and shared rooms, all of them with single or double beds. The bed linen and towels for free and there are TV (Cable) in all the rooms.
Our friendly staff will help you make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, starting your day with a full breakfast: cereal and milk or beans and eggs and our famous Guatemalan coffee, and this is just the beginning.

Staff was very friendly, if slow (as is in keeping with a central american lifestyle.) Clean. Good breakfasts, although they are not timely. They did assist guests in getting around/booking shuttles/getting taxis, etc.

It is very close to the airport, and they offer an airport pick up, which is very handy. The staff are very friendly. However, there is no where around the place to get anything to eat, so we ended up ordering in from Pizza Hut!

nice lounge area and patio. Good selection of used booksWe are not into partying and actually wanted a quiet first night in Guatemala near the airport and this worked well for that. We met one very nice person there. I put it in the average category because I could not avoid answering the question

The family running the hostel are very friendly and helpful. I had been unwell for a few days and when I asked if there was a doctor nearby that I could see the owner took us in his car to a nearby hospital bringing along his sister-in-law who spoke English to translate. They then organised deliver of the medicines from a pharmacy. We couldn´t thank them enough for helping us out.
