It is one of the best back-packer’s hostels with the best reputation in Yangshuo. Although it is often copied it can never be replaced. It is situated at the pedestrian street (West Street) of Yangsuo, right next to the entrance of the Li River and very close to the downtown area. Travelers love to gather here, making it a quiet place to rest amidst the noisy surroundings inside liveliness. The Second Camp of Senior Leader, which including a rooftop bar and a tent base, is a place that can let you forget everything because of its perfect scenery. You could lie in the tent and enjoy the music there. The sky which is studded with twinkling stars would make you feel like in the dream…
We have public halls with movie, comfortable sofa, books, self-service coffee, and web service and snooker table. They are all free, and you can enjoy yourself here. All stuffs here are so enthusiastic that they would try their best to let you have an enjoyable stay. They are also travelers, so they know what travelers looking for. We also have weekly group activities, including Explore the Xingping cave, Rock climbing and abseiling in the Treasure Cave and Dinner party with local special dishes. You can enjoy the natural scenery and feel the local customs here. 20:00-24:00 is the party time, travelers from around the world would get together here, and you can make new friends and have an easy time.

This is yet another hostel in China turned from good to great by friendly helpful and fun staff. Mostly Chinese backpackers stay here so dont come if you want to socialise with westerners but why come th China to do that? Free coffee in the mornings and wifi and movies. Great place which is on a peaceful side street.

Nice hostel on a good location. They should however clean the rooms more often. They are tidy but not the cleanest rooms you'll ever find. Again, its not a total dump, far from it. Besides this a fine hostel and nice place to stay and meet other travellers. Senior leader is not on the busy and loud West Street nor is it next to the bars. They are a five minute walk away. Excellent if you like your rest during the night

I had a great stay here, the hostel is very clean and a good place to meet people if you are travelling on your own. The staff are great and so helpful and will give you ideas of stuff to do. The 8 bed dorms are a bit of a squeeze but I never spent any time in them other than to sleep!
