National Park Hotel is the town pub as well as a café, takeaway, and budget accommodation. It can get quite noisy on the weekends when the pub is jumping. The café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests and visitors. The staff are friendly and helpful. They keep the place clean and tidy.
There is a kitchen for guests, free tea and coffee, and a laundry and drying room. There is a TV in the café. The cheaper rooms are located in an attached building -- all the rooms open up into a courtyard. There are also rooms which are inside the hotel -- these are a little more expensive but also much noisier when the pub is open. All the rooms have shared bathrooms and heating.
National Park is a very small town with limited facilities and limited transport options. Meals are available at the hotel cafe, and one or two other places in town, or you can buy a few groceries at the service station on the highway and make yourself meals in the kitchen at the backpackers. You can see the National Park Hotel from the intercity bus stop. The train station is a five-minute walk away. There is parking available if you drive there.
