Description
Hello and welcome to Gecko Hostel, Buenos Aires, The only place to stay in BA!!!
Is it for you? In a word Yes!!! Our aim is to be recognized as one of the top hostels in not only Buenos Aires but the world, providing exceptional customer satisfaction in our hostel. We have all the comfort & the fun needed to have a perfect stay in Buenos Aires. You can meet new and old friends in an atmosphere created for travelers by people who have travelers best interests in mind. Unlike other Hostels in Buenos Aires we cater souly for you!!! We feel our Hostel is exactly what you need for an unforgettable stay in BA.
How did we start I hear you ask? Three like minded individuals from completely different parts of the world crossed paths in Dublin, Ireland of all places. One night over a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of wine, the conversation tilted towards the disgraceful places we'd all stayed in over the years, and ultimately that we could provide a better service for Hostelling folk. 4 months later we decided to put our theory to the test and the idea for Gecko was born. After much deliberation with different names we settled on Gecko, we find it was appropriate because as with travelers, the gecko is a rock hopper also.
Where are we? Gecko is located in one of the coolest & trendiest neighborhoods in town, Palermo
Palermo is divided into 3 zones: Palermo Hollywood (where Gecko is located), Palermo Soho & Las Cañitas.
And finally, We all wish you the very best on your travels whether you stay in Gecko or not and that St. Christopher (patron saint of travelers) guides a safe adventure for you through lands unknown.
All the best,
Staff @ Gecko Hostel

The hostel itself is lovely but unfortunately the partying outside the door of our dorm, and inside the room, instead of in the bar until 7am, coupled with the fact that people were using our bathroom to vomit in most of the night was not conducive to a pleasurable stay.
