HI - Echternach Hostel is a very quiet but friendly place where you can spend your nights and rent a bike to travel Echternach, follow its nature trails, and visit the nearby towns. This hostel is very new. All its facilities are in great shape and everything is extremely clean. The service is great and for a cheap price it includes a very good breakfast and a good night's sleep. The hostel has a climbing wall that both kids and adults can use.
The Location
The hostel is not located in the center of the town, but Echternach is a small, rural town in Luxembourg full of lakes, so you can get there in five minutes by bike and ten by foot. It is located just after the last houses and into the rural part. There are a lot of nature trails to follow from the hostel. The hostel is really easy to find, since it is the only one in Echternach and the building's architecture makes it really visible. There are no buses to get to the hostel. There is parking space.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel offers private and dorm rooms. The rooms are in very great shape, with doors that are locked with electronic keys. All rooms include a private shower and toilet room, which work really well since they are really new. The beds are unusually comfortable and the price per night includes all the bed linen, covers, and sheets.
Common Spaces
The hostel offers internet for a price, although it only has one computer. There is no kitchen offered. There is a common area per floor. Just beside the breakfast room there is an outside sitting area where there's always someone. The view from there is really beautiful. You can also enjoy that view while having breakfast because the wall is crystal from floor to ceiling and it serves a window. The hostel is really quiet, since Echternach doesn't get many travelers, but is also a very nice place to be in. Most travelers staying at the hostel are cyclists.
