A tiny hotel/hostel with five rooms. Each room's walls are painted with a different theme and all the rooms are bright and cheery. The front room is used as a hostel-style dorm room. There isn't a common area, so you're just paying for a bed. But the location is good (5 minute walk from the train station), the woman that runs it is friendly, and it's a nice homey place to stay. Reserve a bed well in advance, especially during the travel season.

Wonderful small hostel. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Stayed here with two teenage children. Both rooms fine and clean. Very quiet street but easy walking distance from station and to market and sights. Free web access.

We stayed here in August 2006. Great location close to the train station, very easy to walk. Friendly host, clean rooms, and bathrooms, nice and quiet place to stay.

Great hostel in a central location! Its small size adds to its character and makes it prefereable to larger hostels in the area. Super clean and very artsy. We met interesting people and the hostess was exceptionally helpful and kind. A great place to stay! Highly recommended.

Beautiful hostel in the heart of Florence. Really cheap, and considering the level of cleanliness and size of the rooms, more a hotel then a hostel. Extremely friendly staff! Reghina was soooo helpful and nice! 5 stars from me! Great!!!

The Starlight was wonderful! We had a very nice clean quad with a sink, the bathrooms were down the hall and we never had to wait. It was quiet and in a great location. Reghina was wonderful with good suggestions for restaurants. Check out the wine shop right across the street! A great place to stay in Florence!

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! We stayed for three nights at Starlight. The owner is very helpful and extremely friendly. She gave us great information about places to eat and places to see. She helped us with our bank problems. Starlight is in the center of the city and our Luna room was simple and romantic!

The hostel is on the second floor. It's laid out like a railroad apartment (one long, dark hallway). The owner is quite young (I imagined her to be an older woman) and is available only between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (roughly). I asked if I could leave some of my food in the refrigerator. She agreed but I could not have access to the fridge unless she was in the hostel. Needless to say, my food went bad. I stayed in the fish room (co-ed dorm). The beds and pillows were kind of uncomfortable and the bathroom was basic. Not much else to say, really. Overall, Florence was a bore and a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Reghina is a great host. She was a great friend while I was staying there. The warmth of her personality, coupled with everything else, made it dream hotel, not a hostel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the bathrooms were very clean and quiet. Upon arrival you will feel at home. Great place to stay.

Terrific place. Staying at this hostel really made our visit to Florence so much better, as the owner was extremely nice and gave us some terrific recommendations for restaurants (Zio Gigi's is the best!) and things to do.

Reghina is a wonderful host — she booked us into all the fancy museums and even helped us book accommodations ahead. The rooms are simple and spacious, the bathrooms are clean and modern, the place is quiet and nice and central to goings-on in Florence.

I stayed in this hostel twice. Both visits were fantastic. Reghina was very helpful and understanding of our ever-changing schedule. The location is excellent, close to the train station and everywhere else. We walked everywhere. The hostel was kept clean and spacious. I would definitely return again. Excellent! Reghina was very kind and trustworthy, and we appreciated her. For some reason, we could not get our original booked room. However, Reghina arranged another, better, room for us, keeping her promise. The new hotel room was much more expensive than the one we booked. But Reghina asked them to give us a same price; maybe she made up the difference for us. It was a very wonderful and super comfortable room. We thank you Reghina very much!

This hostel is located close to the terminal, and within walking distance of everything. Reghina was extremely nice and she was extremely accommodating with our arrival time. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well sized. They had a sink and mirror to use for freshening up before or after bed. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing is be careful coming from the train station to the hotel if you are arriving at night. There are lots of young adults drinking, etc. I stayed here in September 2004.

Stay here. This place is clean; it has nice little artistic touches on the wall, a lovely owner, and no curfew. The bathrooms are good, and it's in an excellent location for wandering. Don't be put off by the lack of obvious signs to the place in the street. Be sure to have the right address, as you can easily walk right past it.

Excellent. Reghina, the owner, was fantastic - helpful, welcoming and incredibly hard-working. The hostel is clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. I'm guessing it will soon appear in the guidebooks, so booking ahead will be essential.
