Dirty, disgusting, disappointing -- Recommend Avoiding! This hostel was highly disappointing, especially as it had been recommended to us by someone who had stayed there. Upon initial impression we were very happy with the size and layout of the room but on closer inspection found the bathroom and linen to be covered in clumps of long hair. Seriously, think about it, your bathroom and linen was covered in someone else's hair! Furthermore, the fridge in our room was not working and left the most putrid smell in the room. We discussed these issues with management who took no interest in our concerns whatsoever! There are plenty of better hostels in Christchurch to stay at -- avoid City Oasis at all costs!
