Really good! this was our first time staying in a hostel. we did a spur of the moment thing and flew out from NY to go to the zoo. when we arrived we were met by Jen who was just so damn friendly -- anyway, the place is clean, everyone was kind and helpful, and for anyone looking for a party scene this is the place. and everyone is respectful of the place! I cant wait to get back for the tijuana tour and other festivities!

Very friendly, clean, nice staff, attentive. nice hostel, rooms clean, staff extremely friendly and always offering different things every night. showers are clean as are the bathrooms. very secure being next to a police station. had a great time for the three days we spent there. thanks for the unique experience.

Very bad! Very bad hostel, staff not friendly, very bad location, no windows in dorm rooms, get very sick. Many other hostels downtown much better.

Awesome! This hostel is probably one of the best i've stayed in. Chandler and all the staff are fantastic. Everyone is so friendly. The room, bathrooms, and showers were all very clean and well maintained. Met heaps of people in the party room, a great place to just chill and hang out. A different activity every night kept us well entertained, and the Tijuana tour is not to be missed. I would definitely recommend this hostel to people going to San Diego.

Awesome place! I loved this hostel. It has a real party vibe to it. The rooms are clean and the staff is attentive. It is within walking distance of almost everything worth seeing in San Diego. In the common room there is something going on almost every night. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place to stay This place is brilliant -- Chandler the guy who owns it is a real star, he'll help anyone day or night and you feel constantly safe knowing he's around. This was the first hostel I ever stayed in and it has set a real benchmark for other hostels to live up to -- really clean and a brilliant atmosphere. Only six to a dorm so you've got plenty of space and the kitchen is nice and big too so you never feel too crowded. best of all though is the ''party room'' which is a huge warehouse with sofas, TV, darts -- the lot! Making friends is easy here as there is an easygoing atmosphere and the ''party room'' for you all to hang out in. I'd definitely suggest anyone going to San Diego should stay at Hostel Cat as it's affordable, friendly, and very clean!
