You'll find Hostel Yellow at the corner of Marsz. J. Pilsudskiego and Al. Z. Krasingskiego, which is located outside the old city walls, to the West. The hostel is located across the street from a movie theatre. To enter, ring the buzzer for #3, and head upstairs to the first floor. You'll find reception on the left, and a common room with free internet towards the right. Wireless is also free in the hostel.
Yellow has several dorm-style rooms, nicely done up and newly decorated. The bedrooms can be loud at night, as the hostel is on a somewhat busy street -- earplugs might be a good idea. There are several bathrooms, including one with a huge soaker tub and double sinks. Cleanliness is exceptional. The kitchen is large, nicely done up, and well stocked. They have a free breakfast of toast with jam, cereal and coffee/tea from 7 a.m. There is a single washer and dryer off the kitchen for guests to use for free.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and have plenty of information about activities around town. Yellow has a great vibe, and is a fantastic place to hang out and meet people. The hostel is brand new, and therefore they are working hard to build up a good reputation. This hostel is certainly worth a look while staying in Krakow.
